Venice, Italy
As we traveled from Switzerland to Italy, we made a stop in Verona. Verona is where Juliet's balcony is located from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. It is also where we had our first taste of Italian gelato.
When we got to Venice, we hopped on a boat and went towards the main square. We walked around and got to see all of the stunning views, cathedrals, and the famous picturesque canals filled with gondolas. We also went to a glass blowing demonstration as Venice is known for it. Adam, our tour director gave us a aperol spritz which was incredible, and became one of my favorite drinks. Finally, it was time for a classic Italian moment...our very own gondola ride through the canals of Venice. Seeing everything, the buildings, secret passage ways, the backsides of shops, etc., was an amazing experience.
Our time in Venice was short but well worth it. It was just as unique as I have always heard it was.
